Lavender essential oil is the quintessential fragrance of relaxation. No other fragrance is more well known for it's relaxing and soothing properties. But did you know that lavender essential oils also have other benefits. Lavender started gaining popularity in ancient Persia, Greece and Rome by using the oil to treat ailments including insomnia, anxiety, headaches, acne and toothaches.

Studies in the Archives of Dermatology have also shown Lavender essential oil can help symptoms of alopecia. People used a mix of essential oils including lavender oil and rubbed it on patches where their hair had fallen out. Some people experienced hair regrowth!

Lavender has also been used to help aid in discomforts in eczema, acne, sunburns and even diaper rash.
